Dear Keiko,
I wanted to write you long ago, after the package with the paintings
arrived. And then I was
traveling so much that I always forgot.
Unfortunately, the paintings arrived only after I had already left to go
to New York for the NPT
PrepCom.
But, as you can see, in Germany we have been using the photos I took in
Nagasaki and have been
making a campaign on that basis: “painting peace”.
On August 6 + 9, in several towns in Germany we will have public events which include making tettile
paintings for peace and nuclear disarmament.
So your idea is spreading fromJapan.
Thank you so much for sending the painting, which I
also showed at a conference here in Germany.
And I apologize for not writing earlier. In addition, I found your letter in the bot rather late.
I am not sure where you want me to send the paintings. Back to your address? Or to other people.
Maybe you can send me an e-mail an let me know.
If you want them back, for Hiroshima + Nagasaki day, I will send them by air mail. If you do not
want them back, I take them with me toNew York next May (2005) for the
big demonstration in
Central Park and also to the United Nations.
Please let me know
your wish.
Please say hellow to the other people in your
group.
It was great meeting you all in
Nagasaki.
In peace Regina
